Refreshing Spa Water
Summer is the time to drink amazing and delicious and COLD beverages. We aren’t a family that drinks juice (unless it’s something we’ve juiced), Gatorade, propel or any of those other type of drinks. We do drink tons of water, so every once in a while, it’s great to switch things up a bit! I don’t mean pouring packets of synthetic powder in it either!
We tend to like spa water in our house and we do all different kinds for different occasions. Sometimes it’s a fruity day, while other days we prefer that cool cucumber and parsley taste. Below is more along the fruity side, with some detoxing herbs added along with fresh ginger root!
Good stuff!
Refreshing Spa Water
2 quarts of clean water (we use reverse osmosis)
2 oranges
1 lemon
1 lime
6 medium strawberries
2 tablespoons organic cilantro
2 tablespoons organic parsley (flat leaf or Italian)
1/2 tablespoon fresh ginger root, grated or chopped
Clean all produce and slice the citrus into rounds, strawberries into slices and ginger root into slices or grated. Leave the cilantro and parsley whole. Place into a 2 quart container and pour water to fill the remaining of the jar! Refrigerate at least 4 hours before drinking, then strain as you pour into glasses (filled with ice)!
Simple enough!
We hope you’ll enjoy this as much as we do!
Drink up!
