Make Your Own Frozen-Fresh Fruit
I like to make my own frozen-fresh fruit! It costs much less and will be more fresh than store bought. Of course, I still buy frozen fruit when it’s not in season or easy for me to access!
Doing it the following way will assure you that you have individual pieces and not clumps of fruit. Clumps make it difficult to use when making smoothies! We don’t want that!
It’s easy, all you need is:
– fresh fruit, sliced
– baking sheet
– wax paper
1. Clean and slice the fruit to desired thickness.
2. Place, spaced, on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
3. Place in the freezer for a few hours until frozen.
4. Remove and immediately put in a ziplock bag and rerun to the freezer!
These are great for making smoothies. Easy to control portion sizes and leaves less room for waste! Also, freezing the fruit ensures you that your fruit won’t go bad before you have a chance to eat it!
Enjoy!
