Some News for the New Year

Happy 2018!!! We hope you all had a great Christmas and had fun celebrating the beginning of the new year!

It has been a while and 2017 was a very unconventional year for me. I had several things I needed to work through and blogging wasn't a priority during all of it. After my visit to the ER in September 2016, my body didn't bounce back the way I would have liked. I spent over 1/2 of 2017 dealing with unraveling health issues that left my life in a different place than it usually is. I will sit down and write about that in the near future, but for now I wanted to share some news. This news will put me back in the blogging loop and I'm actually excited to be able to jump back into this medium.

So here it goes...

For those of you who know us really well, you know we like to do things a little differently and sometimes out of the norm. This year we decided to spice things up a bit and work towards being more intentional about living on purpose, being more present with each other and enjoying this beautiful planet God has blessed us with.

That being said, mid-June of 2018 the Newsom Crew will be heading out on the road trip of a lifetime. One year and 48 states in a 5th wheel with Sugar, the pug, along side of us!

I am a documentor (is this a word?) and love to document pretty much everything - this will be no different. We will be documenting this adventure - the planning and roadtripping - via social media for our family and friends to keep up to date with our journey. We invite you to join us as we step out of our comfort zone and spend 52 weeks together in our 40' 5th wheel, Gipzee, and our F450, Zeke! The hippie life that I have daydreamed about since high school is finally coming to pass!

We are excited for the adventures and life lessons ahead and thank you all for your support as we do what we always do - swim upstream!

You can join us over the next year and a half by reading our blog (with a lot of "he said" "she said" style writing and video) at www.epoch48.com! You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat - under "Epoch48"! I will also add updates to this blog as we move forward and I desire to get back to talking health and food once again. But, one thing at a time. For my health's sake, I can't just dive in like I always do. This will take much self-control on my part! I can do this!

So, 2018, we welcome you with open arms and open roads! Here's to the most amazing year yet! I hope you join us on our journey!
